E.B. White, Harper Lee, and ‘Goodnight Owl’

Every night I read some, or all, of a book to baby bird. I say ‘some of’ because there are odd nights where she is just too fussy to make it the whole way through. Or, because I’ve chosen that night to read another chapter from a novel. Six months isn’t too young for novels, right?

Most nights I read her a book called “Goodnight Owl”. But before naps I read “Charlotte’s Web” and during tummy time, “To Kill A Mockingbird”. She doesn’t yet understand why Wilbur didn’t really enjoy being free during chapter three, or what’s so important about the way Atticus raised his babies…but she will, someday.

That’s [what we’re reading] for right now!
