In the past I have made lists upon lists of New Year’s resolutions and honestly I’ve only ever kept one in my life. I gave up drinking pop once and lasted about 5yrs before a pregnancy craving for cream soda did me in. This year I narrowed it down to just three resolutions – but they are pretty broad. This post is to, hopefully, break them down into more manageable goals.
|. Make “My Tweet Life” into something impactful.
I want this blog to be more than a hobby. I have stories and experiences to share that I believe may help others feel less alone. I want to use my ability to do nursing research to provide accurate information and advice. I want to share and in return I want to hear from all of YOU, too.
The first step in making this happen is to invest time and money into making this blog official, building the image and trust me – its coming soon!
||. Do everything I can to help save the earth.
I make reusable and produce bags, and have worked really hard over the last few months to slowly and sustainably accumulate some zero-waste options for our household. A post will be coming that features all of the items throughout our house that we use instead of their more wasteful options, but my main goal with this resolution is to STICK WITH IT! Writing about my progress will keep me accountable.
|||. Embrace an overall healthy lifestyle.
Hubby and I got Fitbits for each other this Christmas and I’m slowly realizing how crazy-active my husband is and how I really prefer to curl up on the couch and not really move. I’ve made some major changes in the kitchen in 2018 that have allowed me to get below my pre-pregnancy weight (pre- both babies!) but that isn’t my end-game. I need to be healthy. I’m in this life for the long haul and it’s time to show up for my family and prove it.
